As a result of the shooting of this OPM gang, the victim suffered a gunshot wound in the left armpit and the victim was still conscious. At that time the victim was immediately evacuated to Ilaga Hospital to receive further medical treatment.
When confirmed on this incident, Head of Military Information (Kapendam) Colonel Inf Candra Kurniawan, S.E., M.M confirmed the incident.
“The victim is an Army retiree who often helps the community in territorial activities, so his daily life is known by the community as a caring and religious figure,” he explained.
“Currently, Tuesday (3/12) morning the victim has been evacuated from Ilaga to Timika using an airplane to get a medical treatment process at the Mimika Regional Hospital,” explained Kapendam.
